On the afternoon of 2nd June, Vice President SUN Shouguang met with the delegation from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) and Moscow Polytechnic University (MPU). It was the first time the delegation visited BJTU.
SUN welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the history, internationalization development and cooperation with Russia of BJTU. He said that BJTU, BMSTU and MPU are share much similarity in terms of subject setting, teaching and research and that in the future, BJTU will provide special funding to enhance the research cooperation between the universities and strengthen the mutual understanding.
Dr. Stroganov introduced the advantageous subjects, teaching and research of BMSTU and MPU. He expects this visit to become an opportunity, from which substantial communication and cooperation will be conducted in the future.
The delegation also visited the State Key Lab of rail Traffic Control and Safety, the Structural Strength Testing Lab, the Lab of Electrical Engineering and the university museum, gaining a vivid picture illustrating BJTU’s service in national strategies and full participation in the construction of national rail transit and high-speed railways.
