Minister of State for Transport, U.K. Visited BJTU

On the afternoon of May 31, 2016, President NING Bin met with the delegation led by H.E. Mr. Robert Goodwill, Minister of State for Transport, U.K. Both sides reviewed the existing collaborations carried out between China and U.K. in the field of traffic and transportation and discussed the future possible collaborative areas.  

President NING Bin extended welcome to the guests on behalf of BJTU and introduced the notable contributions the university has made in the development of China’s railways and talent cultivation. Mr. Robert Goodwill spoke highly of the existing collaborations BJTU has carried out with British universities and enterprises in the field of traffic and transportation. He hoped that both countries would further conduct more extensive cooperation.

After the meeting, guided by Vice President GUAN Zhongliang, the guests also visited the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety.

Principals from the UK Trade & Investment, State Key Lab of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, Office of International Affairs and Elm Lane International Holdings Inc., were also present at the meeting.
