Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Western Australia Visited BJTU

On the morning of March 15, 2016, Vice President CHEN Feng met with Prof. Iain Watt (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs) from the University of Western Australia, Australia.

First, Vice President CHEN Feng extended welcome to the guests on behalf of BJTU and introduced the strength disciplines of the university and the great contributions BJTU has made in the fields of scientific research, talent cultivation and policy-making for the construction of high-speed railway and urban rail transit. Then, he introduced the internationalization fruits of BJTU from the aspects of “Bringing-in” and “Going-out”, respectively. He hoped that both sides would build up the cooperative relations to carry out comprehensive collaborations on student exchange and joint research. Afterwards, Prof. Iain Watt introduced the strength discipline, student scale, cultivation mode of the University of Western Australia. He suggested that both sides would conduct cooperation on student joint programs and hoped that the bilateral cooperation would be fully implemented soon.

Principals from the Center for International Education, Office of International Affairs, School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering and School of Software Engineering were also present at the meeting.
