Closing Ceremony of the Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (5th Program) Held at BJTU



On the morning of May 22, 2015, the Closing Ceremony of the Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (5th Program) was held at the Multi-functional Hall of Hongguoyuan Hotel. This closing ceremony also marked the successful completion of the total five programs of the training on heavy haul technology. Mr. YAN Hexiang, Director General of the Department of Science Technology and Regulation, National Railway Administration (NRA), Ms. Namgya Khampa, Councilor of Indian Embassy in China, Vice President LIU Jun, Prof. ZHU Xiaoning, Director of the National Research Center of Rail Training and Certificate, Prof. NIE Lei, Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation and Mr.LV Chao, Assistant Director of the Office of International Affairs attended the closing ceremony.



Mr. YAN Hexiang expressed congratulations to all the Indian railway counterparts and gratitude to Beijing Jiaotong University for the great efforts in undertaking the training programs. He said it happened that the closing ceremony coincided with Indian Prime Minister Modi’s visit to China and his accomplishment of major achievements. During his visit, Chinese Prime Minister LI Keqiang has reached a lot of consensuses with Indian Prime Minister Modi as regards to the common development, deepening of concrete cooperation and establishment of closer partnership.



Ms. Namgya Khampa expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and Beijing Jiaotong University for the great efforts and hoped that the railway collaboration between China and India would be conducted continuously.



Vice President LIU Jun expressed congratulations to all the Indian participants and expressed gratitude to NRA and Indian Railway Board for the support and help in the training programs. He hoped that as the messenger of friendship between China and India, the Indian participants would share with their fellow citizens what they have learnt, seen and known in China and make contributions to the friendship and further cooperation between China and India.





During the ceremony, LIU Jun and YAN Hexiang also presented the gratitude certificates and souvenirs to the Indian participants.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (NRA), Office of International Affairs, National Research Center of Rail Training and Certificate and School of Traffic and Transportation were also present at the ceremony.
