The Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (4th Program) Opens



On the morning of April 13, 2015, the Opening Ceremony of the Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (4th Program) was held at the Multi-functional Hall of Hongguoyuan Hotel.

Mr. YAN Hexiang, Director General of the Department of Science Technology and Regulation, National Railway Administration (NRA) and Vice President LIU Jun attended the opening ceremony. Prof. ZHU Xiaoning, Chairman of the School Council, Prof. NIE Lei, Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation as well as 20 Indian participants were also present at the ceremony. The opening ceremony was moderated by LV Chao, Assistant Director of the Office of International Affairs.



After the ceremony, Mr. YAN Hexiang gave the first lecture on “China’s Railway on Fast Track”, introducing the achievements of China’s railway and sharing experience with the Indian counterparts.



This 12-day training program covers 9 lectures on heavy-haul railway and also will on-site visits to Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing-Dalian High-speed Railway, Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co.,Ltd, Shuohuang Railway Company as well as the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety at BJTU.

Principals from the Office of International Affairs, School of Traffic and Transportation and National Accreditation & Training Research Center of Rail Transit were also present at the opening ceremony.
