Vice President of Universiti Malaysia, Pahang(VMP) visits BJTU
On the afternoon of July 21st, Vice President YAN Xuedong met with Professor AHMAD ZIAD BIN SULAIMA, Vice President of Universiti Malaysia, Pahang(VMP), and his delegation at the Siyuan Building.
YAN Xuedong extended a warm welcome to the Vice President and the delegation from the Universiti Malaysia, Pahang(VMP), and provided a brief overview of our university's historical development, key disciplines, talent cultivation, internationalization efforts, and our contributions to the national rail transportation industry. He highlighted the frequent exchanges and successful collaborations between our institutions in recent years, particularly in the areas of joint student training and international training programs. He expressed the hope that both sides would further enhance and deepen their cooperation in these areas, aiming to develop them into exemplary projects. Furthermore, he encouraged continued personnel exchanges and the exploration of collaboration potential to contribute to the "Belt and Road" initiative and the development of Malaysia's railway infrastructure.
Vice President AHMAD ZIAD BIN SULAIMA expressed his gratitude for the warm reception at our university and conveyed his appreciation for our institution's achievements in talent development, scientific research, and contributions to the national rail transportation industry. He also highlighted the successful outcomes of our joint-degree programs and expressed his thanks for our university's acceptance and training of 45 students from the University of Pahang. He expressed his hope that both institutions would build upon the foundation of these programs to further expand their cooperation in areas such as academic education and vocational skills training.
Following the meeting, both parties proceeded to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Vice President AHMAD ZIAD BIN SULAIMA and his delegation met with the students currently enrolled in the joint-degree program with the Universiti Malaysia, Pahang(VMP). They encouraged the students to work diligently, actively engage with China, and prepare themselves to shoulder the important responsibilities in the future development and operation of Malaysia's railway infrastructure.
Relevant responsible comrades of the International Department, the National Education College and other units attended the meeting.
