On the morning of March 7, 2023, Vice President Guan Zhongliang met with Yudil Chatim, Educational and Cultural Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in China, at Siyuan Building.

Vice President Guan Zhongliang warmly welcomed Counselor Yudil Chatim and provided detailed information of BJTU on its history, strength disciplines, talent cultivation, international engagement, and contribution to the national rail transit industry. He emphasized on BJTU’s constant endeavors in establishing friendly relationships with Indonesian universities and businesses in recent years. As the leading institution of the China-ASEAN Rail Transit Education and Training Alliance, BJTU has successfully held the alliance's annual meetings and achievement exhibitions for many years. Vice President Guan Zhongliang expressed his hope for more cooperation between the two parties in personnel training and foreign railway talent training, further promoting the development of Indonesia's railway sector and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Counselor Yudil Chatim expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and gave thanks to BJTU for its efforts in personnel training, scientific research, and service to the national rail transit industry. He particularly admired the university's contribution to the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia, joint scientific research with Indonesian universities, recruitment and training of Indonesian students, and the organization of ASEAN Week activities. He hoped to deepen friendly relations through enhanced cooperation in talent cultivation and railway personnel training.
