On 5 July, 2014 Beijing Jiaotong University Graduate Students Commencement Ceremony was held at Tianyou Hall. CAO Guoyong, Chairman of the University Council, President NING Bin, Chairman of BJTU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee as well as other school leaders were seated in the platform and conferred degrees to the graduates. 271 graduates obtained doctoral degrees and 3890 got master’s degrees. Vice Chairman and other members of BJTU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee also attended the ceremony.
President NING Bin, on behalf of BJTU, expressed congratulations to the graduates and shared the Chinese traditional concept of “self-cultivation, family harmony, country management and world peace” with the graduates.

Vice President YU Zujun read out a resolution on conferring doctoral and master’s degrees by 2014 BJTU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee and announced the recipients of excellent doctoral and master’s dissertations. President NING Bin conferred the degrees and gave prizes to the recipients who had excellent doctoral dissertations.

In order to let more people see the grand view and live broadcast of the commencement ceremony, Beijing Jiaotong University has installed a huge outdoor LED screen outside the Tianyou Hall.
