The Thirteenth National College Robot Contest was held in Shandong Province from May 29 to June 1, 2014, co-hosted by School Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Secretariat of All-China Students Federation, Mechanics Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education and Computer Science and Technology Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education. 29 domestic well-known colleges attended the contest, including Beijing Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, etc. Each team designed and made robots with the knowledge of mechanical drawing, electronic circuit, sensor technology, automatic control, computer programming language and electrical machine. After the fierce rivalry, the robot team from Beijing Jiaotong University topped the group and won the second prize.
