YAO Nianlong, Male, Han Ethnicity, was born in June 1973. He is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He has a postgraduate education and holds a doctoral degree. He is also a professor.

Prof. YAO Nianlong has served, in chronological order, as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the School of Electrical Engineering of Northern Jiaotong University, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs, Deputy Director of the Office of the People’s Armed Forces, Secretary of the Youth League Party Committee, General Manager of the Beijing Jiaoda Assets Management Co., Ltd and the Science Park of Beijing Jiaotong University, Deputy Director of the Office of Industrial Development of Beijing Municipal Commission of Development & Reform (Interim), Director of the Office of Student Affairs, Director of the Office of the People’s Armed Forces, Director of the Office of Financial Aid for Student, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Director of the Office of General Administration (the Office of the CPC BJTU Committee, the President’s Office) and the Office of State Secrets Protection Committee, Director of the Office of Policy Studies, the Office of Stability, the Office for Letters and Visits from the Masses, the Legal Affairs Office at Beijing Jiaotong University. He is currently the Deputy Secretary of the CPC BJTU Committee.

Part-time functions: He is also the Vice Chairman of the Political Landscape and Policy Education Research Council of the Beijing Association of Higher Education, a Standing Committee Member of the Education Section of the China Confidentiality Association.
