Introduction to the Board of Directors of BJTU

Board of Directors of BJTU was formed voluntarily by enterprises and public institutions, different social sectors, businessmen and renowned experts from home and abroad that care about the development of Chinese higher education and BJTU on the basis of “Equal Consultations, Mutual Benefit, Mutual Support and Joint Development”. It is an advisory, directing and supervisory organization for social forces to participate in university operation.

Since the founding of the Board of Directors in September, 1994, it has held 8 plenary meetings and 1 annual meeting with 76 members. Over the 20 years, the Secretariat of Board of Directors set up specific targets and held activities including university-enterprise scientific research meeting, job fair targeting at university students, practices for undergraduate students, joint education for postgraduate students, and secondment for practice for young teachers. The Board of Directors has held thousands of training courses for member organizations, and more than tens of thousands of persons are trained.

University-enterprise Cooperation Committee of BJTU

University-enterprise Cooperation Committee of BJTU aims to seek support and development through providing services and making contributions. As a bond that links schools, local governments, enterprises and public institutions, the Committee always focuses on developing a platform for the combination of production, study and research with special features of our school. The Committee is responsible for making and amending university-enterprise cooperation regulations, deciding university-enterprise cooperation matters, making relevant policies, electing honorary presidents and hiring consultants.

Led by the University-enterprise Cooperation Committee, BJTU gave full play to advantages of talents, knowledge, science and technology. On the basis of existing platform provided by the Board of Directors, Alumni Businessman Associations and University-enterprise Cooperation Committee, BJTU proposed to build a dynamic network with a series of stable exchange platforms to explore diversified win-win models for cooperation. By December 23rd, 2013, BJTU has signed strategic cooperation agreements with more than 300 institutions and local governments, including thousands of scientific research projects with a total contract value of over tens of millions of RMB.
