The Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (5th Program) Opens



On the morning of May 11, 2015, the Opening Ceremony of the Training of Indian Railway Officers on Heavy-haul Technology (5th Program) was held at the Multi-functional Hall of Hongguoyuan Hotel.



Mr. YAN Hexiang, Director General of the Department of Science Technology and Regulation, National Railway Administration (NRA), Vice President CHEN Feng, Prof. ZHANG Xiaodong, Vice Dean of the School of Traffic and Transportation as well as 20 Indian participants attended the opening ceremony. Vice President CHEN Feng also addressed the opening ceremony. It was moderated by LV Chao, Assistant Director of the Office of International Affairs.



After the ceremony, Mr. YAN Hexiang gave the first lecture on “China’s Railway on Fast Track”, introducing the achievements of China’s railway and sharing experience with the Indian counterparts.



This 12-day training program covers 10 lectures on heavy-haul railway and also will on-site visits to Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing-Tianjin Intercity High-speed Railway, Shuohuang Railway Company as well as the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety at BJTU.

Principals from the Department of Foreign Affairs (NRA), Office of International Affairs, School of Traffic and Transportation and National Accreditation & Training Research Center of Rail Transit were also present at the opening ceremony.
